About Us

Bebop Baby Shop is now open at 167 Pearl Street in Essex Junction!  We are proud to offer baby, toddler, maternity, and parenting items that are good for you, your child, and the environment.  We strive to carry as many high-quality organic, fairly traded, handmade, and locally made products as we can.  Come through our polka dot door into our homey, colorful space to find an extensive selection of fun organic baby and toddler clothing, comfortable maternity-wear for working and lounging, everything you need to cloth diaper your baby, non-toxic wooden toys, handmade organic stuffed creatures, fun books for kids and par ents, several styles of slings and carriers, outerwear geared toward the baby-wearer, nursing wear and breastfeeding support items, locally made natural baby care products, and more!  
 
Bebop is locally owned and operated by Beth Ryan and Kate Van Wagner.  Beth lives in Essex and is the proud mama of Evelyn, who is a big fan of cloth diapers and breastfeeding.  Kate is an artist and birth doula who lives in Burlington.  We feel so lucky to serve and supply our fabulous customers, and we welcome all types of families.  Stop by the shop and you’ll probably find  one of us ready to help, chat, coo over your child, and take your suggestions.  
 
We are also excited to offer our colorful community space to you.  You are welcome to come hang out in one of our comfy organic chairs, sipping a cup of coffee while your child playsthey can make a mess here instead of in your living room!  We offer many playgroups, classes, and workshops—check our the “upcoming events” page for the most current information. We would be happy to host your playgroup or meeting; just call to book the space.
